Dutch Shoe & Leather Museum


All galleries and special exhibitions at the Dutch Leather and Shoe Museum are fully accessible to disabled visitors.  We offer a range of special provisions and if needed visitors can ask for additional assistance from our staff. We endevour not to let a mental or physical handicap to get in the way of enjoying our museum. The summery below outlines the most important provisions. Short 15 meter walk from the coach stop to the museum front entrance.

Sound enhancement system/ induction loops operating in all museum galleries.

Disabled parking spaces available.

Handy-car(e) wheelchairs are available to borrow for your visit. Ask at the information desk.

Extra wide entrance doors to all galleries, accessible to all kinds of wheelchairs.

Disabled toilet with alarmsystem adjacent to the cloakroom.---

Both the children's gallery and the museum factory include objects that can be either touched or heard to optimize visits by people with a visual or hearing disablity or the mentally disabled.


Guide and assistance dogs accompanying their owners are welcome. We regret that no other pets are allowed.

Companion tickets for disabled visitors are provided free of charge.

Nursing home groups who wish to visit the museum are entitled to use our group facilities.
